The Squirrel Inn​​

Located just outside of Battle, is a family run Freehouse that welcomes you, your family and friends.

Set in the heart of 1066 Country in East Sussex, we pride ourselves on menus that change frequently to reflect seasonal availability and wonderful local produce.

All of our meat is free-range sourced, from A.J Ray Butchers in Battle. Our fish sustainably sourced from day boats in Hastings.

We sell local Sussex ales from Battle & the surrounding area and have a good selection of spirits including our own locally distilled, Battle Gin. We offer a large variety of fine wines by the glass and in Winter there's nothing nicer than a warming Mulled Wine.

The Squirrel Inn offers something for all seasons. A cosy open fire in winter and a large garden to keep the children entertained in the summer. The four-legged family members even have their own menu.
